Concert News: Elbow to add 2nd date during their Dublin Run

They will be playing The Ambassador on both October 27th and 28th. Also, don’t forget that they are already set to play the Electric Picnic.

Concert news: Jenny Lewis to play in Dublin

To help promote her upcoming album “Acid Tongue” Jenny Lewis will be playing at the Button Factory on October 19th. I have high expectations for her new album. The guesting includes Zooey Deschanel, Jonathan Rice, and Elvis Costello. “Acid Tongue” is due out September 23rd.

Music News: Winehouse to release her track intended for “Quantum of Solace” despite it being rejected

Apparently someone is a little angry about being overlooked for the opportunity to create the theme song for the new Bond movie. She seems to think that releasing this on the same day is going to cause some kind of regret for passing it up. Why even bother making a big deal about this? In actuality, I can see her pulling off a pretty solid track with the help of Mark Ronson, however I can’t remember the last time anyone cared about the next Bond theme song.

Concert News: Kings of Leon announce 2 Irish Dates:

They will be playing at the O2 on December 19th and Belfast’s Odyssey Arena on December 20th. I really suggest not missing these shows when they come. I’ve seen these guys numerous times and they never disappoint. If you haven’t already, make sure to check out the new tracks from their upcoming album on their myspace page. It sounds like the new album is going to be very promising. http://www.myspace.com/kingsofleon

Album News: The Sea and Cake to release “Car Alarm” on October 21st

I wasn’t a fan of their last album, a little too stripped down for me. Here’s to hoping this album brings them back to their original sound and what they do best. If you’ve never gotten into this band, I suggest starting at the beginning of their catalog. This is the band that influenced groups like Nada Surf and Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin. Here is the track listing:

01. Aerial
02. A Fuller Moon
03. On a Letter
04. CMS Sequence
05. Car Alarm
06. Weekend
07. New Schools
08. Window Sills
09. Down in the City
10. Pages
11. The Staircase
12. Mirrors
