Download: Coldplay - Live in Technicolour BoxSet

Martin from Coldplaying.com forums (He's Irish you know), has made a mix combining the new 'Life in Technicolour II' from Prospekt's March and the original from Viva La Vida, abnd has made it available for downloading. Check it out, it's pretty damn cool. And the EP isn't half bad either.

Watch: Dan Black - Yours

Fancy having a song stuck in your head for the weekend? Well check out excellent new Dan Black single 'Yours'. He's the DJ responsible for 'HYPNTZ' if you recall.

Anyhow, if you want to annoy yourself with a tune over the next few days, listen to this. It's so catchy.

Oh and you can still get 'HYPTNZ' here:

Nothing concrete about this release, but I love everything Hem release. Especially last years stunning Home Again, Home Again EP.

Hem are set to release their fifth album in 2009, and have details of a few tentative songs. The following songs could well appear on the record:
'Better Days'
'Bird Song'
'Gently Down the Stream'
'Seven Angels'
'Things Are Not Perfect in our Yard'
'The Wolf in the Woods'
'The World is Outside'

Expect more news when I get it.

Gramercy Arms

I have the pleasure of offering you another mp3 from Gramercy Arms' new record (of the same title), which I previously talked about here:

Stream: Kanye West - Sky High Remix Project

Kanye West - Remix Project

Download the new album leak? I hope not, because the quality is so terrible. However, on the other hand, you can listen to 'Ye's new remix record with DJ Benji and Plain Pat, called Sky High.

Have a listen to it here:

That A-Trak Remix is great.

Listen: Of Montreal 'Gallery Piece' (Jon Brion remix)

Everything Jon Brion touches turns to gold. Well maybe not the new Dido album, but some of those songs are so much better due to his input.

Stereogum has a free download of the legendary producer's remix of Of Montreal's 'Gallery Piece', and it, as expected, sounds fantastic.

Live: Of Montreal at the Button Factory

Perhaps the best recession-beating gig of early next year will be Of Montreal at a bargain €17 in Dublin's Button Factory.

They'll return to our shores on January 28th, and play Belfast's Stiff Kitten (nice names they have up there, Spring & Airbrake, Stiff Kitten!) the night before.

Tickets are on sale now.

Download: Riverboat Gamblers - A Choppy Yet Sincere Apology

Riverboat Gamblers - Choppy Yet Sincere Apology

You probably have heard me rant and rave about the Gaslight Anthem by now, and if you've taken the time to listen, you'll know my ranting is not unwarranted. I'm always on the lookout for great new bands, and when I read a press release stating that the Riverboat Gamblers are up the same street, I definitely was interested. And I must say, from first listen, they don't disappoint.

It'll be interesting to hear if their new album, Underneath the Owl, released on March 10th, 2009, will live up to lead single 'A Choppy Yet Sincere Apology' lives up to the hype. Also of note is that Rolling Stone's David Fricke had them on his list of the top 5 bands at SXSW. Not too shabby.
