Live: The New Breed Launch Party at Tower Records

Tower Records is often host to a lot of great intimate gigs, many of which cost nothing at all to attend. One such one is this Friday's (rescheduled) launch of the excellent new compilation album The New Breed. Attending and playing the launch party at Tower Records this Friday, from 5 p.m. will be Ham Sandwich, The Minutes, The Ambience Affair, and Dark Room Notes. Each band is due to play three or four songs, so it's sure to be fantastic.

Live: Lisa Hannigan at Whelan's

The 40th Anniversary of International Earth Day takes place on April 22nd, and to celebrate, Whelan's will be marking the night with a one-off concert. It's due to feature some excellent names, with Our Little Secrets, The Ambience Affair, Gavin Glass, Roesy, and Mundy on the bill. The whole thing is to be headlined by Lisa Hannigan.

Live: An Indiecater Night

The very first Indiecater Night is less than two weeks away. The 12th of December will see some of the Indiecater crew performing at Whelan's in Dublin for a very cheap €8! Playing on the night will be Storkboy Choons, the Ambience Affair and the Very Most who are travelling all the way from Idaho in the US of A.

As long as it doesn't clash with your Christmas party, I urge you to attend!

Album News: The Ambience Affair - Fragile Things

Fragile Things is the name of the new EP from Dublin duo The Ambience Affair. It's available on Indiecater for the recession-busting price of €2.50. Bargain. The four track EP was originally released in February, but now you can download it via Indiecater it should get the attention it deserves. Together with Tenaka's EPonymous, this is a great year for Irish debut EPs. I just can't wait for the full albums!
