Yessss!!! Finally, another Jenny Lewis record. After going back to her Rilo Kiley roots with the PerezHilton-acclaimed (not critically acclaimed though, except by Q Magazine) Under the Blacklight, Jenny Lewis is set to release her second solo album in September.
The follow-up to Rabbit Fur Coat is titled Acid Tongue and features over a dozen guests. Confirmed guests include (in alphabetical order): Elvis Costello, Zooey Deschanel (of She & Him fame), Davey Faragher (The Impostors), Jason Lader, Ana and Paz Lenchantin (Paz from A Perfect Circle), Jonathan Rice, Chris Robinson (Black Keys), Dave Scher ("Farmer Dave" from Beachwood Sparks) and M. Ward. Also appearing are Lewis's sister, Leslie, and her dad Eddie Gordon.
It'll be interesting to see two actresses on the one album. Deschanel has played the kooky supporting actress for years, and Lewis herself is a former child star. I actually watched The Wizard for the first time ever on TV3 about a month ago!
