Kill it Kid are kind of like the Kings of Leon for 2009. But one that it's cool to like. They're a fivesome from Bath in the UK. They are a bit more baroque than KoL though, and perhaps a little darker.
Their EP came out in December and a full length LP is expected later this year. They're signed to One Little Indian, which has a history of producing greatness. For now check out a free download of 'Private Idaho'
