The Unthanks (formerly known as Rachel Unthank and the Winterset) released their third album Here's the Tender Coming late last year, and it was a lovely folk album, every bit as good as their breakthrough record The Bairns.
They'll be playing Whelan's in Dublin on March 28th, and tickets cost €18.

Loved the Bairns, didn't even know they had a new album. Probably cause of the name change.
They're even better live! :D
saw the Whelan's show on Sunday. Awesome!
Fantastic. Any highlights?
Testimony of Patience Kershaw was super. They finished with Here's the Tender Coming but it was ruined a little bit by persistent feedback. The support act (Lucy and Jonny) were really good too. Venue was totally packed and it was a great mix of people.
Nice. Pity I missed it. Next time though.
