Tell me what your useless super power is. Leave your answer in the comments, and if you win, I'll contact you via email. The contest is open until next Wednesday at 5. The funnier, the more useless the better... For example, it could be the ability to see through glass. Always a good one.

Live: Oxegen 2010 Lineup Announced: Eminem Muse Jay-Z Headlining

Oxegen 2010

I was at the super-special launch of Oxegen 2010 earlier today at the Academy (thus why I'm late getting around to posting about it), and my head is still trying to cope with the sheer deluge of acts announced. If you follow my twitter feed, you would have seen my many comments earlier today, but my main concern is where the hell are all the Irish acts? Just one on the lineup so far: Northern newcomers Two Door Cinema Club.

Kasabian are headlining Oxegen's Scottish sister T in the Park, but the three headliners for our own gig are Eminem, Muse, and Jay-Z. Tickets go back on sale on Friday March 12th, and 3 day camping ones cost €224.50. There's sure to be more acts announced, as well as info on who'll be playing Friday, Saturday, and Sunday 9th-11th of July 2010.

Live: The Prodigy at the O2

Big gig news this time. Another O2 date. The Prodigy will be playing the renamed Point Depot in December, the 18th to be exact. They'll be playing the Odyssey in Belfast the night before also as part of their Invaders Must Die tour.

Tickets for Dublin are priced €49.80 and €54.20, with ones up north costing £33 and £38. Dublin tickets go on sale next Friday, Belfast ones next Thursday. Take that all in? Good. Now let's enjoy this new video:

Live: The Prodigy to support Oasis at Slane

Another support act announced for the return of Slane. The Prodigy join Kasabian and the Enemy as supporting acts for the Gallagher brothers (who are 100% Irish allegedly). Expect a real Irish act to be announced as support (there always is) before Friday. As soon as I hear, I'll let you know.

Tickets are priced from €76.50 to €86.50 and go on sale this Friday (October 24th). Think they're limited to two for person, so if a group is going to Slane, you'll have to go to Ticketmaster as a group too!
