Setlist: Cajun Dance Party, Oxegen, 13 July 2008

Cajun Dance Party made their Irish debut, high on the bill on the 2FM New Bands Stage, and thanked the crowd for their warm welcome. Word on the street was that they put on an excellent performance, far better than some of the bigger acts on at the same time.

'The Firework'
'The Race'
'Buttercups'
'The Hill, The View And The Lights'

Setlist: The Zutons, Oxegen, 12 July 2008

No sign of an encore performance of 'Valerie' from Amy Winehouse when the Zutons took to the O2 Stage. And having heard Winehouse's horrendous performance, it must be said the original was far better on Saturday.

Setlist: Manic Street Preachers, Oxegen, 12 July 2008

The Manics paid tribute to lost musician Richard Edwards, as the band kicked off a greatest hits set, complete with a Rihanna cover and their own take on Nirvana's 'Pennyroyal Tea'. The Richey Edwards tribute was touching and moving, and you know the band really meant it. Aside from the fact they haven't made an excellent album in years, it's still impossible not to like this band.

'Motorcycle Emptiness'
'You Stole The Sun From My Heart'
'The Masses Against The Classes'
'Umbrella'
'Your Love Alone Is Not Enough'
'Ocean Spray'
'You Love Us'

Setlist: The Verve, Oxegen, 12 July 2008

The Verve returned to Ireland after a long hiatus, with Richard Ashcroft proclaiming: "Ronaldo, you're not a fucking slave, £120,000 a week?" They gave a stellar set, and performed some new tracks from their upcoming album Forth.

Setlist: Amy Winehouse, Oxegen, 12 July 2008

Her last ever Irish performance (according to her dad anyway), as Winehouse is due to play only five more songs after this. The Daily Star Sunday also claimed that she was suffering severe heart-problems during her Oxegen set, but that didn't stop her heart pining for jailed husband Blake.

'Rehab'
'Me And Mr Jones'

Setlist: Vampire Weekend, Oxegen Festival, 12 July 2008

Surely one of the highlights of the weekend was seeing Vampire Weekend in the Green Room. The Brooklyn band played a storm, and even played a song about Amy Winehouse's other half (not really, but Blake does have a new face!)

'Mansard Roof'
'Campus'
'Cape Cod Kwassa Kwassa'
'M79'
'[Untitled New Song]'
'Bryn'
'A-Punk'
'One (Blake's Got A New Face)'
